We are so happy you are viewing our very first blog post! We wanted to take some time to share with you about why we started our company, how we chose our name, what we are most excited for, and some of our industry experience. We are both so excited to start this new journey!!
What inspired you to start Vine & Branch Weddings?
We both adore all things weddings, love, and happily-ever-after. We have dreamed of owning our own company for a while, and once we were both settled into our new city of Cincinnati, we figured it was the perfect time! We are so excited about this new adventure and look forward to what is in store.
What is the meaning behind your name?
John 15:5 reads, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” This verse was read at both of our weddings, and we felt it was the perfect foundation for our new company. We know Jesus is good and His plans are the best ones, so we will joyfully root our lives and our business in Him.
What are you most excited about?
Kelly: Such a tough question – everything! I am just so excited to serve couples and help them have an amazing and carefree day. My wedding was everything I hoped for and more, and I cannot wait to pay that forward. With the right planning, the right vendors, the right spouse, and your family/friends, I promise you it will be the best (and fastest) day of your life.
Kelleen: Honestly, I cannot wait to meet the couples and get to work with them throughout the planning process. I LOVE making new friends and what’s better than helping your friends plan their wedding!! But the best part will be seeing them get married to the love of their life and knowing I could be a small part of making their day special 🙂
Do you have experience in the industry?
Yes! We both have relatively similar experiences thus far!
Kelly: I worked for Shannon Gail Weddings in Chicago, assisting with some of the season’s top events and weddings. It was a dream to work alongside the SG team and to have Shannon serve as a mentor. Those gals are the real deal, and it was an incredible year learning the small details that go into making every wedding a success – from bustling dresses, to navigating Chicago traffic with a trolley, to nailing the timing of the band – it was a blast!
Kelleen: I worked for Simply Events LLC in Cincinnati, helping to coordinate stunning weddings across southern Ohio and northern Kentucky. I have also helped with corporate events and annual city celebrations, giving me a wide variety of experience to help develop my coordination expertise. From outdoor parks, to ballrooms, to barns, I have gathered inspiration for whatever you may be looking for.
We also planned our own weddings this past year, so we know what it takes to make the day go off without a hitch! Both of us have been the bride, the MOH/bridesmaid, and the planner, so we know how to eliminate your fears and stresses before you even realize you have them 🙂 We cannot wait to share our experience and knowledge with you!
